  • With the latest data collection, research, assessment tools and strategy models we then design a leadership framework that creates value and a positive culture to support the overall business strategy.

  • Using world class tools to provide a baseline for initial discussions & analysis allows a reference point for future benchmarking of change and improvement that has been achieved through the initiatives and interventions.

Vision and Values

These guide the organisation and they should be seen as its foundational core. Without clearly understood vision and values the organisation becomes like a leaf on a river, simply acting on the whims of individuals or external forces.

Most organisations have them, but very few actually live them.

Behaviours

To help the vision and values create a positive culture a business also needs to agree what are the acceptable behaviours that underpin the values.

Unless these behaviours are clearly articulated and agreed the benefit of the values lessens as there is no benchmark to hold people to account on their commitment to the values.

A framework of acceptable (and sometimes the unacceptable) behaviours provides the accountability for values to live and breathe.

Strategy Alignment

Making sure your strategy achieves your vision while also aligning with the values of the organisation is the key determinant to sustained success. Increasingly, organisations focus on the vision side of strategy or what we call the transformational side while forgetting the execution or transactional side of strategy.

Without both of these sides understood and a plan to ensure congruence between them we hear the statement “the vision is all agreed & in place but nothing is actually improving or being achieved”.

Culture and Capability

Culture can be defined as the way we do things around here.

The reason many strategies fail is not because the strategy is flawed but that the culture elements were not considered when creating the strategy. As a result, the culture and the capability of the organisation to adapt and change to meet the new strategy was under estimated or not considered at all.

Therefore whether an organisation has the skills, capabilities, processes, behaviours and frameworks, that are a truly functioning culture, will determine its level of success.

Execution

Strategy success is all in the execution. Execution is ensuring the people are aligned with the Vision and Values, their roles & accountabilities are clear, they empowered to do their roles and have the right resources, capabilities, policies & processes and systems are in place to drive your strategy and support the culture.

With these areas reviewed, modified and clearly communicated organisations give themselves the best chance of change being accepted and embraced.
